Scrap Happy Quilt Tutorial from A Little Bit Biased

This next project I want to share with you is such a great scrapbuster!

I saw a quilt like it at my friend's mother's house and knew it would be such a fun project

so I just had to make one too!

Here's a brief description of how to make this beginner-friendly quilt:

1. Gather a bunch of 4-1/2" wide scraps (they can be any length you want).

I cut mine anywhere from 1-1/2" to about 5-6" in length.

2. Sew them into one long strip. Press the seam allowances open.

Formation Throw Quilt in Timber! from Busy Hands Quilts

Today I'm sharing a Formation quilt - the Timber version. I started this quilt several months ago and finally finished it up this week.

Formation is a fat quarter friendly quilt pattern with good-sized Flying Geese blocks so the quilt top goes together fairly fast. This is a quick and easy quilt pattern that suits pretty much any color scheme, from manly to patriotic to modern to kid themes.

Perspective from Humble Quilts

Happy Friday!

This week as I was eating dinner I looked up to see the light on this wedding ring quilt. In my head I thought, "that is so beautiful." I just had to snap a photo!

My niece (who has subsequently took over managing our "sold" part store business), shoulder came out of the socket this week. This was the "after" photo when it was back in and on some pain meds.It happened so fast, like so many medical emergencies. Good to keep a perspective on the really important things- HER for one, and others we love.

Belle Throw Quilt in Shelburne Falls! from Busy Hands Quilts

Today I'm sharing a Belle quilt in the Throw size. This quilt is made with an older fabric collection called Shelburne Falls by Denyse Schmidt.

Belle is a stunning quilt pattern that is precut friendly, using layer cake squares for the quilt blocks as well as the pieced border. In this quick quilt pattern, the X's float in the background of the blocks, and the center of the X is a different print than the legs of the X.

My Farmhouse Quilt - A Throw in Notting Hill! from Busy Hands Quilts

Meet the My Farmhouse quilt pattern! My Farmhouse is a quick and easy jelly roll quilt pattern. The pattern is strip pieced and is a great way to get your feet wet if you're new to strip piecing.
